NFL Fantasy Teams: AFC East Roster (Defensive Backs)

Cornerback 1: Darrelle Revis, New York Jets; Back-up: Ty Law, New England Patriots;

Now that Revis has just signed on with the Patriots, his dominance of both the AFC East and NFL should resume in 2014. One of the biggest secrets of 2013 is that he STILL made an NFC Pro Bowl while suffering through a year in Tampa Bay. A 5-time Pro Bowler and 3-time All-Pro, Revis has completely shut down every receiver he has ever covered, from Randy Moss to Calvin Johnson to Larry Fitzgerald.

Cornerback 2: Sam Madison, Miami Dolphins; Back-up: Patrick Surtain, Miami Dolphins;

A 2nd-Round pick in the 1997 NFL Draft out of Louisville, Madison quickly cemented his reputation as one of the top Corners in NFL history. He made 4 Pro Bowls and was selected to 3 All-Pro teams before leaving to go win a Super Bowl with the New York Giants (beating his long-time arch-rival Patriots).

Free Safety: Jake Scott, Miami Dolphins; Back-up: Lawyer Milloy, New England Patriots;
Scott's greatest accomplishment came when he was named MVP of Super Bowl VII, in which his perfect 1972 Miami Dolphins completed their path to immortality. Additionally, he also made 5 Pro Bowls, 5 All-Pro squads, and won another Super Bowl with the Dolphins. If he hadn't retired so early he would definitely be in the Hall of Fame now.

Strong Safety: Dick Anderson, Miami Dolphins; Back-up, Rodney Harrison, New England Patriots;

Jake Scott was good, but Anderson was the leader of this "No Name Defense" they were called. In a 1973 game he intercepted Terry Bradshaw 4 times, becoming one of only a handful of players ever to nab 4 picks in a game. His greatest accomplishment was arguably NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 1973, in addition to his 2 Super Bowls.
