Kicker: Adam Vinatieri, New England Patriots
The AFC East could not ask for a better kicker than "Mr. Clutch," who has now kicked game-winning field goals to ice 2 different Super Bowls, and he added a third Championship with Indianapolis. His reputation was already cemented before that when he defied physics by kicking the game-winner vs. the Oakland Raiders in a blizzard in the "Tuck-Rule Game." This is no shocker, but he has all the field goal-related NFL records in terms of both Playoffs and Super Bowls.
Punter: Brandon Fields, Miami Dolphins
It breaks my heart to not put Reggie Roby up here, but good gosh. Fields is just a beast. He has been in the NFL for 7 seasons now, and he already has the 3rd-highest yards-per-punt in history, only trailing Shane Lechler and Thomas Morstead. If his AVERAGE of 46.7 were not an entire 3 yards higher than Roby's, this might have been more excruciating. Not that it matters much-- we don't see Brady/Moss and those RBs punting much in this showdown of the divisions.
Punt/Kick Returner: Terrence McGee, Buffalo Bills
He is considered a versatile threat for his kick return skills as well as his defensive play. On Christmas Eve 2005 against the Cincinnati Bengals, he became the first player to score touchdowns on an interception and a kick return in the same game. McGee exhibited his speed in the 2007 Dallas game. Six minutes into the third quarter, McGee returned a kickoff 103 yards. He ranks second in team history with six total return touchdowns. He also has 17 interceptions and has proven a reliable defender.
